Petit Musee d'Art Teppei Sasakura is a small private museum of an artist Teppei Sasakura who is one of the most famous artists in Japan today.
It is located in Nishinomiya-shi Hyogo Prefecture where is between Umeda/
Osaka and Sannomiya/ Kobe.
He uses various kinds of materials such as oil colors, water colors, color pencils, pastel crayons and so on. He chooses the themes of each exhibition and you can enjoy his original paintings through the year.
Teppei Sasakura's paintings are rich in colors. He employs the techniques of both impressionism and Ukiyo-e, thus creating a unique sense of the world. The themes of his works mainly center around the landscapes of European countries and Kyoto and the people who live there.
It seems that his paintings are embraced in tender light and colors, making the audience feel comfortable and happy deep in their hearts. If words must be used to describe his paintings, then “poetic sentiment”, “travelers' sorrow”, and “serenity” may be the right choice.
He draws sceneries of France, Italy, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary and other countries. Especially he likes to draw local areas of European countries. So, you might find your hometown.
This museum is really small but that would make you feel more relaxed.
I'm looking forward to your arrival.
